Stress Reduction and Meditation

Stress is a major problem in today’s world. If left unchecked, the results can be fatal. Unfortunately, when some people try to overcome and cope with the stress in their lives, they more then often turn to substances which only contribute negatively to their condition. More than often people relax by engaging in activities which can compound their problems; ‘having a smoke’ or taking drugs, though offering temporary relief to their condition, they often find themselves back to square one.   This does not have to be the case. Simple everyday exercises in breathing, positive thinking and meditation can go far into reducing stress and maintaining positive mental health.  (cont'd)...
